Many Faces

   I love all the faces I can "catch" with my camera
while playing with camera settings

a three year old boy

can be so funny

but not too cooperative

 

in front

of the camera

 and most

of the time doesn't

want to take pictures

but then sometimes

I get a really sweet picture

and then another

and they make me happy

but I think I like the silly faces best!

Papa's Vacation

Grannie & the littlest of all Papas

(that is what Jordan called him the other day)

 took Jordan and Leah

to the train museum in Union, IL

 

Jordan was so excited

he fixed his own hair with spikes

and wanted to wear a special shirt

there were the tiniest orange stripes

that he was very happy about

I was expecting a flop

but it turned out to be a fun little day trip

can you guess Jordan's favorite...

and of course

the ORANGE caboose

Leah liked them too

but was ready for a nap around noon

She was going to take a nap right there

she refused to sleep on the way home

but took a long, long nap

when I got her home

which I thought was lovely

My Morning Sunshine

when I heard

"Can I get up Mommy?"

I was not ready to wake up

it wasn't too early but I was still sleepy

when he came in my room

he gave me a great big smile and said

"I am so happy to see you"

"I love you so much Mommy"

"You are sooooo pretty"

** oh swoon**

Old Days

I feel like the mom of a newborn

I am exhausted

 Leah has been getting up every hour

if not every hour,

every other hour

I have resorted to sleeping

in the guest bed with her

which means I get no sleep at all

now I am sick

the kind of sick

where you ache

all the way down to your toes sick

I hope she starts sleeping

through the night again soon

very soon

she is lucky I think she is so adorable

even with bedhead

especially with bedhead

she likes to wrap her arms around me

and tell me she loves me at night

even if it means I get no sleep

I have to admit I like that part of getting no sleep

 her little arms wrapped around my neck

make me smile

no mosquito fun

with the break in the weather

and a lot less bugs hanging around

we finally got out of the house

and ran around for a bit,

the kids had a blast

I had a blast taking pics

I love it when I get a pic of Leah smiling

it makes me smile

first interview

she said

I love you to ME for the first time tonight!!
She said it to Daddy before but not directed at me yet
Today completely unsolicited,
She rolled over gave me a big hug and kiss and said
"I love you, I love you Mommy"
I had a crummy day,
She MADE my day
