30 days of gratitude {day 8}

"There's no other love like the love for a brother. There's no other love like the love from a brother." ~ Terri Guillemets

 I grateful that no matter what they have each other.

30 days of gratitude {day 7}

“Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.” — William Arthur Ward

I am thankful for her awesome free spirit.

gratitude {day 6}

I am so thankful for this little man in my life. He has given me the greatest gift of becoming a mother. I had no idea what a wild and wonderful ride it would be. Now that I am on it I wouldn't trade it for the world. He is a sweet, smart boy and he is all I ever dreamed for in a son.

30 days of gratitude {day 5}

I am grateful for the times when I overhear conversations like this:

Jordan: "Okay my dear let's go."
Leah: "What does dear mean? "
Jordan: "It means one hundred times I love you. All the way up to the sky."
Leah: "Then on we go me matey."

30 days of gratitude {day 4}

I am grateful that when I am taking a relaxing, hot bath Leah is worried that if she does not sit with me I will be lonely.  She always makes it a point to find a friend to hang out with me when she does not want to sit with me. My latest comrade was her doggie and she said that I should not worry because I could call her doggie Leah until she came back to sit with me.

30 days of gratitude {day 3}

“We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.” — Thornton Wilder

30 days of gratitude {day 2}

I am grateful for this stage when Jordan wants to spend 75% of his day coloring and creating books. He tells me that a good reader always looks at the pictures so he likes to create great pictures for his books. The other day Leah broke a glass frame that I had displaying one of his drawings so he decided he was going to draw frames around his pictures from now on.  He said that way Leah could not get hurt. This kid is always thinking.

30 days of gratitude {day 1}

Concentrating on being grateful for what I have rather than worrying about what I don't, makes me happier and hopeful for a wonderful future. This month I will make an effort to open my heart, be thankful and appreciative.

I am thankful my kids are still young enough to really, really enjoy Halloween. They (especially Jordan) were out of their minds with excitement yesterday. Going door to door to collect candy with them was so much fun. After every house Jordan would lift his arms up in the air like his was going to take off in flight and yell out, "on we go!" and he would go off running as fast as his big puppy feet could take him.

30 days of gratitude {day 29}

I am  thankful for the imagination of my children and the wonderment and excitement that the Holidays bring to them.

This morning they found our elf Mookie in our bathroom. He left them window markers and he also left  them a message on the mirror to, "always be kind." It took them a long time to find him. They both started to get a little worried that maybe he did not come back from the North Pole. They were so excited when they finally found him.

They played with the markers all morning. On our way pulling out of the driveway to school Jordan told me that he thought it was so thoughtful of Mookie to bring them those markers.

30 days of gratitude {day 28}

I am thankful for some downtime when Jordan is away at school.

30 days of gratitude {day 27}

I am thankful for tradition and a new writer.

30 days of gratitude {day 26}

I am thankful for my little helpers.

fifty two on friday ~ week 46(thankful)/30 days of gratitude {day 25}

I am thankful for the ease of technology. In under 2 minutes I had an image taken and online of me, Darth Vadar and my unicorn to share for the day.

30 days of gratitude {day 24}

I think it goes without saying I am incredibly thankful for my family. I have an amazing husband and two awesome kids. Jordan made this picture for me. I love how he always draws himself so he is bigger than Daddy and he always makes our shirts our favorite colors. He can be so thoughtful.

I have been talking to the the kids all week about what I am thankful for and I have been asking them what they are thankful for too. Today Jordan told me he was thankful for worms and his family. Every time I ask Leah what she is thankful for she tells me she is thankful for unicorns...I love that!

I wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you enjoy a wonderful day with family and friends, enjoying great food and even better company.

30 days of gratitude {day 23}

I am thankful for my dad, "little" papa. He has a kind and generous soul. My kids adore him and I think the world of him.

30 days of gratitude {day 22}

I am thankful our children are able to experience new and exciting opportunities.

30 days of gratitude {day 21}
