is it wrong

When my family visited recently I got to hold baby Joshua and visit with him for a few minutes. When no one was looking I had to take just one picture.
If it is wrong just tell me. Seriously maybe I need to go to rehab to be separated from my camera. But in my defense he is just so stinking cute and he was just sleeping there all warm and cuddly in my arms. I wanted to hold on to him forever. You know the old saying, "take a picture it will last longer" well, that is exactly why I had to take his picture. He has already gained over a pound and before we know it he will up walking around and being silly with the rest of his cousins. Sigh. You are just way too sweet little man, way too sweet.

fifty two on friday ~ week 29 (sparkle)

What do you want your children to remember most about your family? I can answer the question immediately, without any hesitation. I want them to remember how much we love them and each other. I want them to remember the sparkle and the light in our eyes when we talk about our family and how much they mean to us. My hope for them is that they will live a lifetime filled with happiness, laughter and above all else unconditional love.

fifty two on friday ~ week 28 (summer)

This snapshot reminds me of my own childhood.  Growing up I had two older brothers and mostly boy cousins around and since they never wore shirts I never wanted to either.  I wanted to be just like the boys. I could not understand why I could not be just like the coolest kids I knew.  I try really hard to make sure Leah keeps her "peaches" covered but sometimes when we are in the backyard I let her slide. This photo will always remind me of her going shirtless, her adoration for her brother, my love for my brothers and summer.
I can hardly believe this project is more than half over. If you would like you can take a walk down memory lane and check out past posts here.

You are in for a treat, because next up is the talented Nicole Denae Photography, Cypress Family Photographer. Head on over and check out what she has come up for the theme this week.

she rides

Leah has learned how to pedal a trike all by herself. There was a big difference from the day Jordan learned. He needed to try, try and try again before he could do it right. Not Leah. She just proclaimed that she could ride, and she could. That was it. I even tried to help her a few times and she told me, "No, I do it all by myself!" Love it. Absolutely love it.

fifty two on friday ~ week 27 (yellow)

Not really one of my favorite colors but I had so much fun looking for yellow this week.

Next up is the talented Amanda Jouppi, Chippewa Falls Photographer . Head on over and see what she has in store for us and the yellow theme.

lovin' some t-ball

These little players are so stinkin' cute. Everyone running the wrong way, playing with the dirt and missing the t by a mile when they swing away. So so cute.

fifty two on friday ~ week 26 (independence)

My kids constantly remind me how big they are and I am reminded daily of how quickly they are growing up. They struggle daily with their independence. From one hour to the next they can go from being a scared baby who needs me to sleep in their bed because, "there are snakes in their room" to being a bigger guy or gal who can get dressed all by themselves, pour their own juice and stick their heads under the water in the pool.

As I was sitting in the computer room I listened to them chatter among themselves and I realized they were playing together completely independent of me. It was the sweetest sound to hear them playing together, and not needing anything from me. They love to play in Jordan's closet and pretend that the closet is so many different and amazing things.  From one minute to the next they can be in the cockpit of an airplane, the cab of a fire engine and even an elevator at the library. This quiet and imaginative play defined independence for me this week.

By the way... I have a new nephew!!! He is a doll! I am madly in love with our little man. He is the complete opposite of independent. So many memories came flooding back today when visting him in the hospital. Sweet memories of my own little ones and I was once again reminded how lightning fast time flies. Congrats Costa family, we love you! He is perfection.

fifty two on friday ~ week 25 (red white & blue)

The week got away from me again and I didn't realize until late on Thursday that I did not have any images to fit the theme. My wild woman, Leah helped me out when for her fourth or fifth wardrobe change of the day she put on the perfect dress.  I was saving it for the 4th of July but when she found it she had to put it on immediately. I  followed her around with the camera in hopes of getting something that would work for the theme.

Happy Friday!
