air show 2011

For the past few years, sometime in June we head to  Bolingbrook's Clow Airport to enjoy the Cavalcade of Planes. It is something I look forward to all year long. There is just something about airplanes old and new that I cannot get enough of. This show is especially nice because it close to home and we can go for a couple of hours and not feel like we have wasted our money. The kids had so much fun this year. They really enjoyed sitting in the cockpit of a real military helicopter, watching the skydivers land on the ground, and seeing a fire truck up close. Since our visit to the show Jordan has decided he is going to be a pilot. Maybe even a fireman who jumps into a fire and is also a pilot ! He picked a library book about smoke jumpers last week after our trip to the airport ; )
