It is week 16 and I don't have an image to post that I feel really represents movement this week. I have no idea how that is even possible since my kids are constantly in motion. But since I did not have an image I decided on Thursday night to make a quick stop motion (sort of) video. I wish I would have taken better and more pics but it did not happen and I am okay with that too. I was letting the little ones make their own toast, with me close by of course, and it was a big hit.
I hope you enjoy having breakfast with us!
Now please be sure to visit the talented Jenn Duguay, Valleyview, Alberta Photographer and see her take on the theme.

fifty two on friday ~ week 15 (paper)
I look forward to Jordan coming home with his papers from preschool every Thursday. As soon as he gets home I ask him to show me all his work and to talk about his day. He will excitedly show me what he did that day. He will explain to me what the direction on the paper was and exactly how he had to do everything. He is always very proud.
After he is done he picks his favorites and puts them in his own special drawer so he can look at them whenever he wants. I go through the drawer when it gets too full and pick out the really special ones and put them in my folder so I can keep them for when he is older.
I still smile when I find papers of my own or my husbands from when we were young. My hope is that the papers I keep will bring Jordan some joy later in life. I am not sure if it is quite the same for a guy but I am keeping a few things for him in hopes that maybe they will bring him some happiness when he is older.
Now please sure to click on the link and visit the lovely and talented Brandie Pahl, Michigan photographer. Have a Happy Easter everyone!

looking forward
So, I am editing some pictures I took for my sister-in-law many weeks back and I have just touched the surface (nothing like waiting until the last minute, sorry Mel) and I had to share. I am in love with her. She is just GORGEOUS yes?
We are so excited to see everyone this weekend for Lauryn's birthday. There has been a ton of discussion in our house about her and my nephew Mikey's birthday (they share the same day) because it is so close to Jordan's big day and he keeps asking who's birthday is next, and then who comes next, and then who. So we go through the list of who I can remember. I am really terrible at remembering birthday's so it is a short list. Sorry all.
Leah cannot stop talking about her cousin Lauryn and how she is going play with her. Any outfit she put on this week she would proclaim, "Lauryn will love it!" and when we pulled out the jumpy house to play she kept asking me when Lauryn was coming over to her house to play in her jumpy. Half the time we can't tell if she is saying Jordan or Lauryn but it is cute cute cute all the same. So so excited!!

funny bunny
The kids loved loved loved the Easter bunny. They were over the moon excited to say hi to him and take a picture with him. I made a big mistake and told them where we were going before we left and we had to wait in line for an hour. Luckily they were really good. We colored some pictures and there were crafts to decorate. Best of all, everything was free and I did not have to be in the picture! Checkout those priceless smiles we came away with from our time with the bunny this year.

eagle fun
If you have not seen the live feed of the decorah eagles yet you should really check it out. We have been following them for weeks and my kids are completely amazed by them. It is so cute to watch Jordan and Leah ooh and ahh at the chicks. Jordan has so many questions, many I can't answer but luckily we are near a computer so we can just look up the answer.
I also found a really cool preschool site with activities for little ones. I printed up some eagle coloring pages and we even found this cute eagle puppet activity. I highly recommend it if anyone is ever looking for things to keep their little ones busy. I often go to the site, ask Jordan and Leah what letter they want to learn about and print up that letter. They love it and it keeps them busy.

our creations
We decorated our easter eggs today. Jordan had so many questions about how I turned the water different each color. He doesn't want what seems to be a 4 year old answer though he wants a scientific, and very specific answer that I have no idea how to answer. So I told him it was magic, he was amazed and the questions stopped. It worked, well just like magic.
Leah only tried to eat the crayons once. Silly girl...she will not even try ramen noodles but a pink crayon goes straight for her mouth?!

fifty two on friday ~ week 14 (hands)
Jordan found these flowers and he told me he thought they would look pretty in his sisters hair for a picture. When she let me put the flowers in her hair and then take a picture without running away he said, "great job Leah now we can go inside and get that ice cream that you like!" Too funny.
Now go check out the lovely Amy Craft San Antonio, Texas photographer. Enjoy the circle!

mr. mouse
We found a mouse in the garage today and I knew Grannie would LOVE to see his cute little whiskers so I had to share.
The kids thought he was super cute and were more than willing to sit by him to take a picture. You can't see him here but he is between them next to the fire hydrant.
and just because smile or no smile she is way cuter than any mouse...

big girl bed
Since she figured out how to do it all Leah could talk about was how she was a big girl and how she could get out of her bed all by herself. She was SO proud.
We really were not ready to take her out her crib because it not likely she will stay in her bed. There will have to be many reminders for her to go back to her room. There will even be a few threats but she was so proud of herself so it had to be done.
I took her to the store to pick out new bedding because I thought it might help get her excited about staying in bed. They had THE cutest set with owls and trees that would have gone perfectly with her room. I tried so hard to convince her to pick that set but there was no way I was going to change her mind. She had her heart set on Buzz Lightyear sheets because, "he is my favorite Mommy."
I was not surprised because a couple of her most prized possessions are Toy Story related. I had to give a try for the cute owl stuff though.
I got the biggest most awesome bear hug and thank you when we were walking out of the store. It was quite a sight to see her hold that big bag, drag it home and up the stairs to her room. She kept repeating that Daddy and Papa would be so excited to see it.
Jordan was excited that Leah picked such a "handsome" blanket. He is so happy that she is in a big bed and that he can get in and out of her bed easily now. I have a feeling I am going to find them in the same bed more often than not.
She did great on her first night. It took her a while to settle down but honestly that is nothing out of the norm for her. She got up a few times and had to come give me huggies and kisses. I did have to threaten to put up the baby bed once. But only once.
Around 7 am I heard her little feet coming towards our room and I heard the words, "all done Mommy." So all in all a pretty good night.

fifty two on friday ~ week 13 (shadows)
I can hardly believe this little man is almost 4. He is reminds me every day about what a big guy he is and how one day he is going to be as big and strong as Daddy.
He was willing to play along so I took the opportunity to ask him a few questions after we took this picture. I typed his answers down word for word:
What is your favorite color? orange (this has been changing daily so I was surprised by this answer)
What is your favorite food? pizza
Where is your favorite place to visit? fire station
What is your favorite snack? fruit snacks
What is your favorite movie? Lots & Lots of Fire Trucks
Who is your favorite person? Daddy & Leah
What is your favorite thing about yourself? loving me
What is your favorite thing to do? play with fire trucks
What makes you laugh? when Leah laughs and makes me laugh (said as he laughs)
What scares you? Daddy when he roars at me
Who is your best friend? Jack and Leah
What do you want to be when you grow up? fireman (said with a huge smile across his face)
What is love? giving hugs and kisses
Next up is the amazing Delsa Thompson - Los Angeles Photographer. Be sure to check her take on the theme this week.
